Today was one of those days. Getting the kids ready for church, to the church and to behave in church by myself was hard today. Then we had tithing settlement afterwards and the kids thought they would die of starvation before we got home. Then we got home, and I wanted them to make their own lunch. Oh, the horror!
After lunch (Ramen for them), my daughter asked if she could watch Ice Age. I said yes, and was pleased when all three kids sat down to watch. I took my book by the Christmas tree and read while the sun warmed me through the window. Eventually, I set my book aside and took a little nap. Sometime during my nap, Bryan got home and played with the kids until I was ready to be mom again.
After dinner, the kids made their Christmas lists. Well, the youngest had made his a few weeks ago but he double checked it while the older two made their list. I tried to explain to my daughter that the Christmas list is supposed to be a few things that you really want, and she insists that she did just that.
Let’s hope we don’t have three disappointed kids in a couple of weeks.

That's a great FHE! I love their lists. Have you read Mary Engelbreit's "Queen of Christmas"? It's a great story that reminds me of your daughter's list. She'd really enjoy it.
Loving these posts so much. I, too, cherish the normal days.
