December 2

I forget that I have to take pictures in order to do this project….so I had to set up my pictures for yesterday this morning.  I’m okay with that though.  In a few years, we wont remember that. :)

Today I was sick.  I laid around all day long.  I watched The Young Victoria, and surfed the web.  I played Sorry! with my kindergartener before school, and then again after dinner.  I also played it with my oldest son.

Before dinner, we watched Home Alone and I smiled as my kids laughed and laughed.  You would think it was the funniest thing that they had ever seen. Thank goodness for Netflix.  The five-year-old then made his own “Battle Plan” and almost knocked the Christmas tree over.  His battle plan had something to do with getting the star off the top of the tree.

We finished the night sitting by tree and reading Christmas books.  We have a huge stack of stories and they are put away for the rest of the year, so getting to look at them again is fun.  We read, The Night Before Christmas illustrated by Mary Engelbreit, The Polar Express, A Merry Little Christmas by Mary Engelbreit,, I’ve Seen Santa by David Bedford and Christmas in the Manger by Nola Buck.

sorry if I gave you germs : ( Scott and Ian and kids in nursery...then my turn. trying to get better for grandbaby shower (can't miss) and dinner tomorrow (could miss, but don't want to as Scott invited a coworker and her husband).

SO while I was on your blog, I smelled something burning. I'm SO grateful the electric candle Ian buried between the couch cushions burned in a place that's not visible...and our house is not on fire!

p,s. Your manger book is Ian's fav!

I hope you feel better soon. I love reading Christmas books. Sadly my kids are older and I don't read to them hardly at all anymore. I will have to insist they let me read to them a few times this year.

I've been meaning to comment, seriously!

I love this idea. It's fun to get just a little snapshot of life in December.
