I got a new calling at church. In addition to teaching the CTR-5 class, I am now on the Enrichment Committee. I guess since I head up two groups (scrapbooking/playgroup), they figured I may as well be on the committee.

My oldest is going to spend some time at Bible Camp this week. His good friend for 1st Grade invited him. It sounds like fun - a snack, some science experiments and some arts & crafts. And a couple hours of peace for Mom and Dad!

My youngest is doing well with potty-training. He has slept in underwear for a week with NO accidents! Hooray! Now if I could just get him to tell me when he needs to go...

Yesterday I discovered that I had misplaced a notebook and some photos that I needed so I could work on my mom's vacation album. I was looking around frantically, and my daughter said: "Mom, why don't you say a prayer? Heavenly Father will help you. That is what I do when I can't find something."
I was so impressed with her faith. So, we both stopped what we were doing and prayed. A few minutes later, I found the notebook and photos.

To get to swimming lessons we drove past several gas stations. One was a Chevron that changed ownership and became a 76. My kids and nephew talked about this non-stop for two weeks. Then they started playing a "jinx" game and this is the conversation that I heard about 100 times a day going to and from lessons:Oldest: On the count of three say 'Chevron'.
Nephew: Okay.
Oldest: One, two, three...
Oldest and Nephew: CHEVRON!! JINX!!
Not quite sure that is how it is supposed to work, but it kept them happy.

Raccoons scare me. Every year when we'd go camping (as an adult) we could hear them fighting in the trees at night, and they always, always stole some of our food. They are smart little things!
I love your prayer story. Those are the best!
cute sampler of what's going on with you right now, I like it!
And the photo on your header is gorgeous, wow!
We had a ton of raccoons around our house growing up. Along with every other wild animal it seems. The freakiest thing though was in Massachusetts when my husband and I came home late from a date one night and there were two skunks on our front porch. So freaky.
You've never seen raccoon? We have them all over the place out here. Annoying little things!
I teach the CTR 5 class in my ward. Although I did get a call from the counselor in the bishopric last night... It is probably just to talk in sacrament meeting and not for a new calling. I have to call him back still.
