Bird

The other morning as we were getting ready to go out the door to swimming lessons, my daughter went out to the garage ahead of everyone else. Moments later she came back in, breathless and exclaimed, "They're a bird in the garage! I heard it tweet-tweet!"

We all went out to garage and opened the door so we could have some light and there was this confused bird flying around:
He was back by our storage, and then flew up to the shop vac. It stayed there for a moment and then flew back to the storage and hit a sled before falling. Since we were running late, I left a door open and we headed to swimming lessons. When we came home he was gone.

The kids were so excited though and ran in the house to tell Bryan all about it. My youngest said, "It tweet-tweeted at us!"
And just for kicks, here is a shot I took in the backyard. This is a hostas plant that is growing:
Head over to Cecily's for more Photo-Story Friday.

Birds and fish have the same effect on me. They skeeve me out. I try not to let them get to me, but they do. I think that might have sent me running into the house not running from the camera.

I'm so glad you aren't big wuss like me and got such great shots!! And I'm sure the kids will be talking about it for a long time!

Great PSF!!

We had a ball watching the bird family on our porch. The mama built her nest, laid her eggs and we watched the two little ones grow and fly away. Now we're enjoying the many birds that visit her feeder.

Birds don't bother me, unless they're dead....dead birds really freak me out, I can't deal with them at all. No idea why.

I think it's great that you thought to take a picture of it. And I love how your kids said it "tweet tweeted" at them. So cute.

We have so many birds around our place right now. Maybe it is because we lived in apartments for so many years but I am amazed at the number of birds in my yard. We had some cardinals nesting in a tree in the winter and I loved seeing those bright red birds all winter.
Your bird story reminded me of the time I found a bunny when I was a little girl.

fun story. In grade school there was a bird that got into the lunch room, that was a fun lunch hour. When I was a kid we had a bird fly into the house..... crazy birds!
