I am from fresh cut Christmas trees, from Jif peanut butter and from home-bottled jams, jellies and fruit.
I am from the country with fields, and farm smells and animals. From yard work, basketball, chores and family night. I am from a brown rambler next to a cow pasture and down the road from the ditch.
I am from Russian Olive trees, petunias and hay, mint leaves, tulips and fields.
I am from Christmas Bingo and pine nut hunting, from John and Jean and my namesake grandma - Susan Amanda Vincent.
I am from the stubborn and generous. The adventurous and independent. The careful, competitive and responsible. I am from readers.
From "crying wont solve anything," "find your shoes,"and always "I love you."
I am from faith, weekly church meetings and testimony. I am from jeans and fishing on Sunday.
I am from Provo and before that Ely, Nevada and Magrath, Alberta. I am from cheese fondue and homemade chocolates. I am from tacos on Saturday and homemade pizza.
I am from the Fremont river, road trips, the blessed and the educated. From family reunions and vacations, game nights and dinner together as a family. From the Uintahs and snow tubing, tradition and imagination.
I am from scrapbooks made with love, books of remembrance and genealogy typed into computers and filed away. I am from memories still to written down. I am from family and happiness, hope and tradition.
I first saw this here at Susan's, and decided that I needed to do my own. I got the template here.
