Christmas

My Mom and Dad arrived on the Friday before Christmas, and we were so happy to have them here. On Saturday, we decorated Christmas cookies, and watched the Las Vegas Bowl. BYU beat UCLA by 1 point. Go Cougars! On Christmas Eve, we went out to the Bonneville Dam and Fish Hatchery. It was very interesting. A lot of fish go through the dam, up fish ladders, to go up stream. Unfortunately, the ladders were empty for maintence but it was interesting. We were able to see some sturgeon, and trout in the hatchery.

Christmas Eve night we played Bingo, ate really good food, played Uno, read the Christmas story of out the book "When Jesus was Born in Bethlehem", and the kids opened a gift from us (Pajamas) and went to bed. Santa didn't have much work to do so we didn't get to bed too late. Christmas morning, Oldest tried to get up at 5:45, but we got him to go back to sleep until 7:15 when Daughter was awake. We had to wake youngest up but once he realized what was happenning, he was okay with being woken up.

Oldest got rollerskates and an easel. He also got some Playmobil toys, a Lego firetruck and a clipboard that holds all of his pencils. He is in heaven.

Daughter got rollerskates and Littlest Pet Shop toys. She got a Hannah Montana dance mat, but refuses to wear the wig. She got a new purse that she carries everywhere and the most beautiful dress for church.

Youngest got enough CARS stuff to pay for the production of the movie. He got CARS cars, racetrack, carry case, dishes, and pajamas. He also got a Little People Fire Truck which is adorable. All the kids love it.

On Thursday, we went with my sister and her son to Rockaway Beach for the night. We stayed in a beautiful house there (with an incredible view!) We played games, ate steak and the kids stayed up too late and got up too early. We went down the beach for a few minutes but it was far to cold for more than of few minutes.

Mom and Dad left on Saturday morning, and we were sad to see them go. We took the tree and Christmas decorations down and cleaned up the house. It is nice to have my house back to normal.

Now it is on to a new year.

I like the new blog. I'm glad you had such a great holiday. That BYU bowl game was awesome. I wish our BSU one had been as good!

Nice new blog. I love being back in a routine too. I have all the Christmas stuff down and once school starts I can feel normal again.
