Random Stuff

My daughter will be six in a few weeks. How the heck did that happen?  Last year she had a ladybug birthday party.  Any ideas for a great party?  Can I do ladybugs again?  I’m too lazy and cheap to come up with anything else.  She, of course, would love one of these parties at a bowling alley or McDonald’s like a couple she has been to lately.

Cheryl is all excited about turning 30, and to celebrate she is giving away gifts.  I think it’s supposed to the other way around, but whatever.  Go check it out.  Or not, cause then my chances of winning will be higher!

My sister is getting married in a couple months and I am hoping to slim down before then.  :)  Since we moved I have gained weight, and I am determined to make a turn around.  I’ve been “running” (mostly walking) for a couple weeks, and this week, I’m getting serious about food and adding weight lifting back in.  I might be posting the number of calories I eat as extra motivation.  We’ll see.  Wish me luck.

I got the second season of Ugly Betty from the library.  It’s such a guilty-pleasure.  Total soap-opera.

And, that’s all I’ve got today.  The wind is blowing, it’s raining and it’s Monday.  Enough said.

Ooh Ooh! I've got a good birthday party. My niece just had a "Late Over Party". Everyone came in their pajamas and brought a blanket.

They ordered pizza, painted fingernails, turned up the music really loud and danced, had relay races in their sleeping bags, ate cake and went home by 9. Just like a slumber party, but better!

What about a camp out themed party where you roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories around a fire in the back yard?

I'm back to commenting. I've missed you!

We had an animal theme party. Everyone brought their own favorite stuffed animal. I hid them all around the house. I divided them in two teams and gave them each a big bag and they had to gather as many as they could the fastest. I also played jungle music, had a pin the banana on the monkey or something like that and a few other games.

My daughter's sixth was a High School Musical party. We ordered pizza, had cake, and the girls watched the movie they've all seen a billion times anyway, and LOVED it. Super easy. Super cheap.

My daughter's sixth was a western theme. I still have all the stuff and you are welcome to it. Hats and all. The reason I have it all is because my oriental trading order came in the day AFTER the party. I'm serious though, you can have it all if you want, banners, cowgirl hats, plastic horses, I'm sure there is more. I made a CD from Itunes and with some fun western disney tunes and I can burn you a copy of that too. If you are interested you know how to reach me.
