I’m saddened today by the death of two aunts in the last week. My great-aunt Beth (my dad’s dad’s sister) died this week at the age of 94. She lived in SLC with her sister and over the last several years, my parents went to visit every couple of months. I regret now that I didn’t make it on any of those visits and that I didn’t know this aunt as an adult. From what I am told though, she had a wonderful out-look on life. Always happy and seeing the positive in life.
Last night my Aunt Dearldine died as well. Her husband preceded her in death by 22 years, and I know that she has missed him and it will be a happy reunion in the next life. Aunt Dearldine used to send Christmas cards each year, but in the last couple of years she has either called or sent an email sharing news from her family and her life. I looked forward to these each year. She was such a sweet woman.
If you have a chance, please say a prayer for comfort for these two women’s families. It would be appreciated. I hate to see these connections with the past leaving, but I am grateful for the knowledge of life after death. I am comforted by the love of the Lord.

Saying a prayer right now, so sorry for your losses. That's tough, two so close together.
Oh, Amanda, I'm sorry.
Sorry to hear about your aunts. I miss the generation ahead of us as they pass on. It always reminds me of the scene in "Lion King" where the elders look down from the stars. It's great to have had such great women to follow.
That is sad. That is really cool that your great aunt lived that long. I bet she is having a sweet reunion as well as your other aunt.
I am so sorry for your loss!
So sorry for your loss. Back to back funerals aren't fun. My grandma died six days after my mom!
Sorry Amanda!! I just barely started checking all the blogs. I wish I had known when we talked last week. I'm sending you a huge hug!! Thanks for all the support you give to me, I just wish I was there to support you! Love you!!
