Thankful

Sometimes I need to take a step back and think about what I am thankful for. I get caught up in the diaper changes, refereeing fights, figuring out what to make for dinner, feeling lonely, and picking up Legos. So here is my list:
  • Home Improvement reruns on TBS
  • Peanut Butter M&M’s
  • Protein Plus Special K (100 calories, 3 g fat, 5 g protein & 5 g fiber)
  • Nap time
  • Patterned paper
  • Game night with my brother
  • Preschool (starts again tomorrow after a week long break)
  • Fleece throws
  • Free magazines that come in the mail
  • Good books (I just finished These Is My Words by Nancy Turner)
  • Sunny days (It has turned to rain again, but I have high hopes for a sunny spring)

What are you thankful for today?

Great list. Your first is funny. I'm thankful for Preschool too! And a washer/dryer, that's a huge thanks.

Cheryl - I LOVED it. I used to think that I would have liked living back in those day, but after reading that, no way. Way to hard. So much happened in the first chapter alone! I felt like the author kind of rushed the end of the book but I always think that with these types of books so maybe there isn't another way to end it. How about your thoughts?

I thought the exact same thing. I wished there had been more at the end. But I also loved it! I just read it again for the second time. There's a sequel: Sarah's Quilt. It's in the same format, but it only lasts a little over a year. I like it, but not as much as the first one. I loved it mostly because I greatly admire the heroine; I think it's honest and historically accurate. I also love having it in first person; it's so fun to see her life through her eyes and laugh at her mistaken judgements of people and things, etc. I also wish I was as hard-working and brave as Sarah. She's one of my literary heroes!

Isn't nice to pause and reflect on the good things in life now and then?! Today I am grateful for my Mountain Dew and the nap I will take at lunch time!

You know, I'm glad you made me think about this. I think I'm going to have to come up with a list and post it. It would be good for me to do I think!
