My Mom

Today is my mom’s birthday. My mother is a wonderful woman. Over the years I have learned so much from her. Whoever said that quote: "All I am, I owe to my mother" was right. My mother is a beautiful, strong, faithful and happy woman. She is super talented too. She scrapbooks, quilts, cooks like no one else, embroiders, and paints. When I think of my mom, the thing that stands out the most in my mind is her faith. She had five kids and she took us all to church every week by herself. My dad would help to get us ready, and we would go to church and he would go fishing or whatever it is that he does during those three hours. I am the youngest, and my oldest sister is 11 years older than me. I can’t imagine taking five kids to church by myself. Every week, Bryan and I take our three kids to church and every week I think, maybe I wont come back next week. I really don’t know how she did it every week. She also went to the temple each month with a friend of hers. What an example that was to what is really important in life. I talk to my mom almost every day. I don’t know what I would do with out her. She always knows just what to say, gives good advice, and makes you feel good.

Happy birthday, Mom. I love you.

Happy birthday to your mama! She is wonderful. And I can't imagine taking 5 kids to church alone either--I have a hard enough time with one, with my husband there!!! What a woman.
