This is what the quilt wall-hanging that I have been working on is supposed to look like. It is called the Log Cabin Star. The designer quilted four hearts in the corner.

Here is mine:

It doesn't look like a star, but I like how it turned out. The pattern called for 3 shades of blue (light, medium and dark). I should have used my medium as my light and something darker for my medium. Then it would look more like a star, but that is okay.
Instead of putting hearts in the corners, I put stars. I drew a star on a piece of paper, traced it with a pencil, sewed it and got the pencil marks off with a Tide-To-Go pen.

I don't know yet where I will hang it, but I am pleased to have it done. It was inexpensive, and fun to do. Don't look to close (especially if you quilt) as my seams don't all match up...

I think it's beautiful! Since I've never quilted, but I want to learn, I admire anyone who can. You did a great job!
It looks perfect to me. You are quite talented.
Looks really good!
It's beautiful and I am jealous. I LOVE quilts but totally lack that kind of talent. I love the way it turned out!!
I am the least domestic person I know as it pertains to crafts. If I had quilted that, I would probably get it framed. :-) Beautiful!
Wow, your first attempt! My first attempt is still sitting in a box somewhere 1/2 quilted. You have excellent craft stamina.
It looks awesome!
oooh, I really like this! And I see the star, but it's a little subtle. But the vibrant blues are so fun I think it's worth the trade off.
Good job!
I just went down in my basement and found about 20 different craft/sewing projects anywhere from just started to half done. So I admire you for finishing!
Wow Amanda, you got creativity just oozing out of you! Nice job. Quilts are hard for me because I like my creativity to be free! And quilting seams have to eventually match up. Ug. Nice work on yours!
