Catapult & Graduation

In April, my oldest's school started a "Dad's Reading Night" at the school library. My oldest is thrilled to have an evening with his dad all to himself. In May, they did their reading, and built catapults. The dad's were asked to bring electric screwdrivers to help the kids make their own catapults. Once all the catapults were built, they had a contest to see whose shot the farthest. Oldest's took second place:
My hubby said that it was Oldest's idea to put the spoon on. He won a prize - a build your own catapult kit.

Also, last week was Daughter's last day of preschool. When I told her it was summer vacation she was very excited because "we get to go on vacation with my teacher?!" No, darlin', it just means that we have no where to go for the next three months.

We totally lucked out with this preschool. We wouldn't have been able to afford much, so when I heard that someone from church was going to do a preschool we jumped at the chance. Daughter learned so much, and is ready for kindergarten now:
