FOR TODAY... Monday, September 14, 2009
Outside my window... the morning clouds are burning off and it promises to be a beautiful beginning of autumn 70 degree day.
I am thinking... about how to manage my time better when the older kids are at school.
I am thankful for... tithing and the blessings we receive when we are obedient.
I am wearing… tan capri pants and a pink tee-shirt. My hair is down and my feet are bare.
I am remembering... game nights and family dinners with my parents and my sister and her family.
I am creating... a rag quilt for my sister-in-law and a blanket for my son’s room.
I am going... to play volleyball tonight.
I am reading... The Lost Quilter by Jennifer Chiaverini
I am hoping... that my kids quickly get used to waking up early for school. And me too. The alarm goes off far too early.
On my mind... Being consistent with discipline, not yelling or spanking, and telling my children something once instead of repeating and repeating and getting angry.
From the learning rooms... Second week of school. I’m guessing homework will start this week.
Noticing that... when my daughter is in her soccer uniform she is all legs and looks so tall. And grown up.
From the kitchen... a friend brought me a bag of pears so I’m considering a pear crisp. Pasta for dinner tonight.
Around the house... laundry is going, the downstairs has been vacuumed and I really need to dust.
One of my favorite things… sleeping with the bedroom window open.
A few plans for the rest of the week… soccer, karate, volleyball, dentist appointments, scouts, haircuts, etc. It promises to be busy and exhausting.
A picture thought...
