I’m at it again. I couldn’t resist playing with the photo of this little girl:
Here is what I came up with:
I honestly don’t know if I like mine better, but it was fun. And I’m learning as I go and that’s the point.
I used PSE 7. First I cropped, then I added some hard light, followed by some more saturation, darkness and contrast. Then I added a slight vignette around the edges.

I like your crop and deep blacks for more contrast. Glad you're having fun experimenting and always learning. :)
I like your version. I don't think I would have the patience to deal with photo editing like that. I am glad that you are having fun learning all those skillz though. :)
