Gifts

For Christmas, my mom and dad gave us a quilt that my great-grandmother (and namesake) started.  I don’t know much about it, except that it is beautiful.  My mom added the border and finished it.

My grandmother was born in South Jordan, UT on Dec. 31, 1887 and died in Nevada on April 9, 1959. Having this quilt makes me feel like I have a piece of my great-grandmother with me, as well as a piece of my mother and father.

Isn’t it beautiful? I love it.  Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Did you get anything for Christmas that you absolutely love?

Heirloom gifts are the best! I got a treadmill from Nathan. That was the best this year for me.

That is very beautiful. What a nice gift that you will cherish forever and be able to pass on to your own children someday.

Wow, what a special present. It's gorgeous too.
My mom did a ton of work to scan in some of her old photo books--the ones from the years Cammon and I were born. She had it printed and gave me a copy. I LOVE it.

I like the gifts my mother in law gives the girls. She gave them all Christmas quilts last year and this year she hand made night gowns. They are beautiful.
