Daybook

FOR TODAY ... December 1, 2008

Outside my window... it is dark, and rainy, I think.

I am thinking...that I am almost done Christmas shopping. I can't wait to get all the Thanksgiving decor put away and start getting out the Christmas stuff.

I am thankful for... my kid's teachers and their dedication.

From the learning rooms...my youngest's preschool theme is "Welcome Winter" and today he made a paper snowman which he called a "Mrs. Potato Head Snowman." Silly boy.

From the kitchen...tonight we had spaghetti, meatballs, bread sticks and corn. I desperately need a trip to the store.

I am wearing...my favorite black sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt and red socks covered with snowflakes.

I am creating...a grocery list. It seems to be growing every second.

I am going...shopping tomorrow, and to an Enrichment meeting tomorrow night and hoping to do some Christmas shopping Wednesday morning.

I am reading...Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich and The Spirit of Christmas by Betsy Brannon Green and two other women.

I am hoping...that work stays steady for my husband and brother through the winter.

I am hearing...Christmas music. Today I broke out the Josh Groban, Bar J Wranglers, and George Strait cds. Love it. And last week's episode of NCIS. Gotta love *on demand*.

Around the house...the laundry is folded on the coffee table and there are some gifts waiting for a tree to be put under.

One of my favorite things...hot chocolate.

A few plans for the rest of the week...getting a Christmas tree, watching a neighbor boy and play dates for the kids.

{No picture thought this week. I haven't uploaded pics from our trip to Utah.}

On Wednesday we drove through Springville and took the back roads to Payson and I was thinking of you. Did you have a good time visiting your family?

I am almost done shopping too, except that my 16yo keeps thinking of new things she wants, lol. And she was the one I thought I was done with!

MMM...hot chocolate sounds good.
