Weekend Fun

This weekend I did two things that I haven't done in a very long time.

The first was: Girl's Night Out (aka Blogger Live by hubby)

Sweet, sweet Darilyn invited me to their second annual End of School Mom's Night Out. I was so excited. And I wasn't even nervous to meet a bunch of women that I don't know. Well, maybe a little - but it might have been the bright sun (in the Northwest?! Unheard of, I know) or rush hour traffic.

But, I felt calm as I knocked on Darilyn's door and admired her beautiful flowers. Then, she flung the door open, with the biggest smile on her face and gave me the best hug.

Then she took me to Sonic. It was sooo good. Could I get any luckier? Seriously...

Then we went to Heidi's house for a night of food, fun, laughing and chatting. I finally got to meet Mahina and Bridget.
Thanks, ladies, for including me. It was wonderful.

Second, I took a bubble bath.

Bryan was gone to chaperon a dance (lucky him) so after I got the kids bathed, I scrubbed down the tub, grabbed my book (Peter and the Shadow Theives) and settled in.

So super pleasant.

Other things I enjoyed this weekend:
the sun (hooray!), yard sale-ing, end of season soccer party, reading, watching 27 Dresses, and the sun.

Sounds like you had a great time...I'm jealous! :)

Did you like 27 Dresses? I haven't seen it yet...is it any good?

So you got to see 27 dresses after all. We started it when there were only 4 of us left and I immediately fell asleep. I just couldn't keep my eyes open another minute. It was so fun to see you, talk with you and hang out. We definitely have to do it again.

It was so great to see you! So glad you came. It was a fun, fun time. And of course the sunshine over the weekend made it all the better.

A nice bath sounds great. I am reading the last book in that trilogy. I enjoyed them. What did you think?

I'm leaving another comment! I just took the time to really look over your blog. It looks so nice. I love all the things on your sidebar. I've been wanting to revamp mine and you are inspiring me with all of your great stuff. And that's quite a list of books you have read. Wow!

This looks so fun. I think I would have been nervous. I wish I was a hugger like the gal who greeted you at the door.
