A Journal For School

My oldest (age 7) brought home his school journal a few days ago. The entries make me smile, so I thought that I would share a few:

If I had a pet bear...I wud cep him in the cage and I wud tace it ot of Him's cage.
If I had a pet bear, I would keep him in a cage and I would take it of his cage.
In the picture for this entry he is standing by his sister who looks sad and is saying "Ahhh!", and he is patting her head while the bear stands nearby.

One day a bee fluw in my house. The bee invited more bees in my house. The bees made a nest in my Mom and Dad's room.
This never happened. I love kid's imaginations!

Did you keep a journal as a kid? Do your kids now? Do you keep one for them?

Too cute! I remember looking at my nieces journal a few years ago. I love what they write and the pictures they draw to go with them.

Too sweet. My boys both love to write and they're forever writing stories and leaving us notes. I need to encourage the journal thing though.

how adorable! I love it. We need to start one for Max here soon, I didn't do such a good job with his baby book which makes me sad. Maybe I can make up for it!

Hi Amanda - thanks for posting on my healthy life blog - I didn't know how else to get in touch. Please don't hesitate to drop me a note if there's anything I can do to help in your healthy journey - You can do it!!

The journals my children kept when they were super little are so darling. I have kept them and can't wait to show them someday.

I love looking at my journal, too. And this is shameless promoting (although it's not for me), but my aunt started a business selling journals for children (ages 2 through whenever). They're kind of like a picture/journal book. You can find out more here:

I love reading Maren's journal that she brings home from school. So cute.

I kept a journal since I was 8 yrs old. I also keep a journal for each of my kids now where I write special things about them in each one. When they move out of the house after high school i"ll give it to them.
