For some reason, the days and months keep going by and this one…
…thinks she can keep growing and getting older.
She turned 7 last week. Seven. Seven? Wow.
I’m a mean mom and this year decided that there would be friend parties only every other year, so no parties this year. My daughter was none to pleased about that, seeing as she is the social butterfly of the family. Instead we had dinner with my brother, sister and nephew. We had her favorite – hotdogs and hamburgers. On the actual day, we took her to the restaurant that she has been dying to try – Buffalo Wild Wings. She had the medium boneless wings and said they weren’t spicy enough. And she likes buffalo wings with bones in them better than the boneless ones.
For her birthday she got a new swimming suit, a hula hoop, a book, a dress, a Barbie, a huge chocolate bunny, a computer game, a soccer ball, and a gift card to buy The Princess and the Frog on Tuesday.
This is her when she was tiny:
Here are seven random things about her:
- She can read. But she hates to. She thinks it is boring. Where have I gone wrong?
- She is very healthy – always snacking on fruit and vegetables over cookies and junk.
- She squeals when she talks to her friends on the phone. And they say goodbye about ten times before one of them actually hangs up.
- Any present you give her will be met with total excitement. It really is cute. (Sometimes it’s loud and screechy too.)
- She is as tall as her brother. And he can’t stand it.
- She shares and is generous. Always. It’s so nice that she is so willing to share. She is definitely the peace keeper of the bunch.
- She loves to be with her friends, on the computer, or watching a movie. She hates to clean her room, eat chili and take baths.
I think, overall, she had a great birthday. It’s hard for me to believe that 7 years have passed. And in one she will be old enough for baptism.
Happy birthday to my little angel!

Happy Birthday! She is so beautiful. Sounds like she had a great birthday. Another friend of mine does the friends party every other year as well. It's worked great for her family.
Hamburgers would be my birthday dinner, too.
She is just beautiful. Happy Birthday!!!!
Ooh, I love that you posted a sweet baby picture of your girlie! She's so adorable.
Happy Birthday to your little princess. She's getting to be quite the beauty.
Wow! 7...that's crazy. She is so pretty.
P.S. I think I'm going to start doing friend parties every other year too. Gets to much every year. My princess will not like the idea either. :)
wow, she's SO beautiful at 7...she'll be a 'stunner' at 17. Good thing she'll have two brothers as "bouncers" to keep the guys at bay. Oh, and an awesome dad wearing flip-flops!!
Beautiful! Happy birthday to her!
Happy Birthday to your sweet, beautiful girl!!
