Last weekend we went to the beach to go camping. Remember my list ? One thing marked off. Woo-hoo!
We camped at Devil’s Lake in Lincoln City, OR. Since we were at a lake we were able to have the mountain experience of camping but since we were at a lake in a city on the beach we were able to have the beach experience too.
This is what we did:
- Fished off the dock (My oldest caught one fish)
- Cruised the lake in a rubber raft and kayak
- Ate my favorite dinner – tin foil dinners
- Roasted marshmallows
- Walked along the beach
- Played Dora CandyLand and Racko
- Played cards after the kids were in bed
- Played in the sand on the beach
- Marveled at the sunsets on the water
- Admired kites on the beach (we didn’t know it was kite festival – score!)
- Walked to the candy store and bought Salt Water taffy
- Came home exhausted, smelly and happy
