I signed up for NaBloPoMo, which stands for National Blog Posting Month, I believe. As the site says, all you have to do is post everyday for a month. I think I am up for the challenge. I'm sure that they wont all be wonderful posts, and posting through Thanksgiving week will be challenging but I'm willing to try. Susan did it last year, and I enjoyed it. Luckily, she has signed up again.
I took down the Halloween decorations today. What a relief to have them down. Not sure why I wasn't into having them up. A lot of our fall decorations stay up through Thanksgiving but I was happy to be rid of the ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns. I put up a few Thanksgiving items.
I got a new calling in church. I have been my daughter's primary/sunday school teacher. When Bryan told her that I wouldn't be her teacher anymore, he asked her if she was sad. She grinned, and said: No! I am happy! I wasn't surprised. She asked a couple weeks ago when she would have a new teacher. I guess we spend enough time together that she is sick of me by Sunday morning. :) My new calling is the Enrichment Counselor in Relief Society. Basically, I will be a counselor to the president of the women's organization in our church and will be supervisor over the quarterly activities. I think. I'm not really sure, but I am up for the new challenge.
I am fighting the urge to get my Christmas cds out. Bryan has told me that I can not listen to them this early with him around. I know that if I pulled them out now, I would be sick of them by Christmas, but I really want to anyway.
The rain has come to the Northwest. For now, I don't mind it. I enjoy it for the first few weeks, honestly. It is after that, that it gets old.
I voted today. I really enjoyed being able to fill my ballot out at home and be able to research the measures before I decided. Glad to have it done. And looking forward to the end of political ads, mailers and phone calls.
Happy Monday, everyone!

You will be fantastic in your new calling. Get those Christmas CD's out. Why not? Any time we can bring a little holiday cheer into our lives and feel inspired by the birth of our Savior is a great time.
Congrats on your new calling! YOu will do great. All your crafty skills will be put to good use. I was SO happy to take down our meager Halloween decorations.
Good thoughts.
I voted early and loved being able to do that. Although we haven't had any mailers or phone calls -- yes - we DO live in Utah. At least my recycling bin isn't full...
Good luck with your calling. That's a biggie.
Oh, and I took Halloween decorations down today, too. It did feel good -- I was surprised at how happy it made me feel. Hmmm.
I agree, get those Christmas CDs out! Just listen for a little while to give yourself a fix, then put them away again, lol.
I'm glad the election will be over soon. The mailers really bugged me. I know the candidates have to campaigne but this time it seemed extremely wasteful.
