Monday Daybook

For Today... Monday, October 6, 2008

Outside my Window...breezy with some clouds.  Cool today.

I am thinking...of how much I love being home with my kids.

From the learning rooms...I spent the morning in my daughter's kindergarten class.  They are learning so much and well on their way to reading.  My oldest is learning new spelling words, and addition and subtraction - working on memorizing some of the more basic.  My youngest is starting to recognize the letters which is fun.

I am thankful for...library books, socks and diet Pepsi (although, I really need to cut back!)

From the kitchen...baked seasoned chicken with potatoes and carrots and fresh baked Rhodes rolls for dinner.

I am wearing...jeans and a blue tee-shirt. Socks. No shoes.

I am reading...magazines and a Lynn Austin novel.

I am hoping...that something fun comes in the mail.

I am creating...not much.  I have plans for stuff but I can't seem to get motivated to working on it.  Planning to make a Jedi robe for my son.  Still working on my rag quilt and thinking of ideas for Christmas cards.

I am hearing...the washing machine & dryer.

Around the house...the kitchen is cleaned, the floors are vacuumed, but I still need to mop.

One of my favorite things...peace and quiet.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...soccer, a trip to the library, and maybe a trip to Costco.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

From a recent trip to Rockaway Beach, OR.

Love the beach shot! You're an amazing photographer and handy in Photoshop too. Great job on recording a week. The book idea is fantastic!

Gorgeous picture! I'm with you on the soda, a cold fizzy Pepsi can make a bad day better, lol. I need to cut back too.
