I was trying to take a picture of the Christmas tree when I got these shots. I’m not sure why they turned out that way, but they are kind of cool. What I really want to know is what are the black lines?
If I had one of those cool living rooms that looks like it came straight from IKEA, I would totally have those blown up and hung over my cool Swiss couch.

Very lovely bokeh. I think it's fantastic with the black lines. Looks like a cool texture.
Scott thinks maybe an imperfection in the bulbs themselves. My guess: dust on lens?
Whatever, I agree that it looks like you applied a cool Photoshop filter!
I love those shots, very cool! I thing the lines are probably dust or marks on the lights.

I think they turned out really pretty. My camera's flash always goes off so mine wouldn't have captured that!
